Team Vicar - Revd Linda Denness
We would love you to come and share in our worship, and are sure you will feel very welcome if you do!
Our worship is generally traditional in style, with a mixture of hymns and songs (often led by our acoustic Band). Worship is usually centred around the Eucharist (also known as the Lord's Supper, or Holy Communion or Mass).
Main Services are on Sunday at 10am and Tuesday at 9.30am
Sunday School
St Francis has a small Sunday School, which is available on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Just turn up for the 10am service, and ask for the Sunday School teacher.
(Safety note: Our parish operates a very comprehensive safeguarding policy for children and vulnerable adults. All our volunteers and staff are properly checked through the criminal records bureau, and regular training is offered through the Diocese of Portsmouth.)
Open Church Days
St Francis' Church is open each Thursday from 2-4pm when the Cosy Club over 50's group meet.
Julian Prayer Group

"Julian Prayer" is a form of silent meditation, punctuated by readings of scripture and poetry. It was inspired by the East Anglian mystic, Mother Julian of Norwich.
Our Julian Group meets on the last Friday of every month, between 2 and 3pm. New members are alwasy very welcome. However, it would be a good idea to check with our Parish Reader, Doris Bealing, before attending...just in case plans have changed (which they sometimes do). Please phone Doris on 023 9266 3578
